How We Verify Recruitment Agencies & Why We Built a 100% Human-Written Career Platform
WorkRemotelyNow was created to solve two problems that plague every job seeker looking abroad: recruitment fraud and AI resume saturation. Here's exactly how we work — and what makes us different.
Our Mission
Every year, thousands of job seekers lose money to fake recruitment agencies that promise visa sponsorship, take upfront fees, and disappear. At the same time, employers are drowning in AI-generated applications — 500+ per job posting — making it harder than ever for genuine candidates to stand out.
We built WorkRemotelyNow to fight both problems at once. Our directory links every entry straight to the agency's own official website. Our resume builder produces 100% human-written, country-specific CVs — because we believe a real person's experience should never be dressed up by an AI template.
We are a free platform for job seekers. We charge no fees for browsing agencies, checking visa eligibility, comparing salaries, or building your CV.
Our 3-Step Agency Verification Protocol
Every agency listed on WorkRemotelyNow goes through the same rigorous verification process before it appears in our directory. Here's what that involves:
Step 1 — Government Register Cross-Check
We verify each agency's legal entity name and licence number against 16 national government registers. These include the UK Home Office Register of Licensed Sponsors, Germany's Bundesagentur für Arbeit, the US DOL OFLC LCA Disclosure Data, Canada's ESDC LMIA records, Australia's Department of Home Affairs Sponsor Register, Ireland's WRC, the Netherlands' IND Public Register, Singapore's MOM EA Directory, and more. If an agency cannot be matched to an active government record, it does not appear on our platform.
Step 2 — Active Placement & Fee Confirmation
We confirm that each agency maintains an active international or skilled placement division — not just a domestic staffing desk. We also verify that the agency charges zero recruitment fees to candidates. Agencies that charge upfront fees to job seekers are automatically disqualified from our directory.
Step 3 — Periodic Re-Auditing
Sponsor licences can lapse, get suspended, or be revoked. We don't just verify once and forget. Our team conducts periodic re-audits of sponsor status across all 16 countries. When an agency's licence is revoked or lapses, we remove it from the directory immediately — so you're always looking at a current, verified list.
Why We Ban AI-Generated Resumes
In 2024–2025, employers began reporting that up to 70% of applications for remote and international roles were AI-generated or heavily AI-assisted. Recruiters are now using AI-detection tools, and many auto-reject suspected AI content. A generic AI-written CV actually hurts your chances — it reads as impersonal, repetitive, and disconnected from the specific role.
Our Resume Builder is different. It guides you through a structured, human-written process that produces a country-specific CV with the right format, photo rules, and personal details for each destination — without ever generating AI filler text. You write the content. We handle the format.
