Resume Builder FAQs
Should I use AI to write my CV?
No. Recruiters spot AI-written CVs instantly, and generic phrasing hurts visa sponsorship applications. Write every bullet in your own words with specific numbers and results. This builder never rewrites your text — it only applies each country's formatting rules, so your CV reads human.
Do I need a different CV for each country?
Yes. Each country has its own expected layout, section order, personal data rules, and visa-status conventions — for example a German Tabellarischer Lebenslauf needs personal data and a signature, while a US resume must omit age, photo, and nationality. Select your target country in the builder and it shows only the fields that country expects.
Should I include a photo?
It depends on the country. The UK, US, Canada, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Finland, Norway, and Sweden expect no photo — adding one can get you rejected. Germany and Austria require a formal portrait, Switzerland and Singapore expect one, and the Netherlands, Belgium, and Denmark treat it as optional. The builder enforces the correct photo rule per country automatically.
How long should my CV be?
One to two pages in almost every country: 1 page for a US Letter resume, 1-2 A4 pages for the UK, Germany, Ireland, Canada, the Netherlands, Belgium, and the Nordics, and 2-3 pages for Australia. The builder shows a live page counter and auto-fits your CV to one A4 page when printing.
Where do I state visa sponsorship need?
State it upfront in your header or profile summary so recruiters see it immediately. Use the country-correct format, for example "Requires Skilled Worker Visa Sponsorship — Eligible under SOC [Code]" for the UK, or your NOC TEER code for Canada and ANZSCO code for Australia. Never hide it at the end of the CV.
Is the builder really free?
Yes. The builder is completely free with unlimited use and free PDF export via Print / Save as PDF. No signup, no account, and your draft is saved privately in your own browser. An optional human writing service is available separately for $49.
